Peter Love founded Hartleys Lawyers in 2001 as a sole practitioner. He held a wide knowledge base that expanded far beyond that of legal practice alone, with years of study behind him in arts, politics, business/commerce, and industrial and employee relations. Hartleys Lawyers soon began expanding, and Peter was personally and actively involved in the recruitment, training, and continued development process for each of the solicitors currently at Hartleys Lawyers, providing guidance and support to all staff across the many expanding locations. As the team expanded Peter began acting in a settling and complex analysis capacity, ensuring that every client received the highest quality representation and that the best standards of practice were adhered to. This wide array of skills provided Peter and all of our staff with the keys to the success of Hartleys Lawyers, resulting in the firm now holding offices all over Melbourne, offices interstate, and a team of highly skilled lawyers who were mentored by him. Peter passed away in January 2022, and his legacy at the firm is upheld by the team at Hartleys Lawyers who are dedicated to honouring his memory by continuing his commitment to the highest quality representation and the best standards of practice.
